GARTEUR HC AG-16 RPC
2005-2008
GARTEUR is a European organization
that promotes aerospace research.
In HC AG-16, a selected group of partners from the European
helicopter industry, Research Establishment and University
works on the investigation of rotorcraft-pilot coupling
both from a flight mechanics and aeroelasticity point of view.
Politecnico di Milano is involved in aeroelasticity and bio-mechanical
aspects of the rotorcraft pilot interactions by means of numerical
and experimental activities.
XSens' MTx sensors are used
to measure the motion of the pilot's limbs when subjected
to cockpit motion.

News
- May 2009: see also the RPC page.
- June 2008: further biodynamic tests at UoL.
- February 2008: biodynamic data acquisition is going to be performed during realistic flight tests in the "Bibby" Flight Simulator at the University of Liverpool, after minor instrumentation upgrade.
- July 2007: a preliminary biodynamic test campaign has been performed in the "Bibby" Flight Simulator at the University of Liverpool.
Points of contact are Dr. Pierangelo Masarati (POLIMI coordinator),
and Dr. Giuseppe Quaranta (in the pictures above).
